Description
Slivered almonds are peeled, split in half and then cut into strips giving them oblong shape. Slivered almonds are commonly used as a garnish in salads or curries, and can also be used to impart the distinct flavour of almonds to Indian sweet dishes. You can either substitute whole almonds for slivered almonds in any recipe, or grab a pinch of slivered almonds and sprinkle them on top of anything you make, as a garnish, for some extra flavour.
